Point Reyes National Seashore

After a morning of riding horses up in Mount Tamalpais, on a whim, we adventured over to Point Reyes National Seashore. After a quick stop at the visitor’s center, then a beautiful drive through quaint towns, then on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and cattle farms, we arrived to explore. There was a nice layer of marie fog and we started our journey to our unknown destination. We trekked into the park and after a few hundred yards spotted the light house in the distance … only to discover we needed to ascend 313 steps, and the equivalent of 25-stories, down to the majestic red-roofed beacon. After of over a year-and-a-half of battling breast cancer during COVID, it felt so good to get back to my National Park mission.
