Pinnacles National Park

It is rare to visit a National Park, one of the big 63, and only see two people exploring it too. And, that is just what happened to us at Pinnacles National Park at the West Entrance. We pulled into the parking lot and joined three other cars, secured my stamp and took a fun mini-hike on the Prewett Point Trailhead to see the famous Resurrection Wall. We spotted many Side-Blotched Lizards, saw a blue mini butterfly, an all yellow bird … plus Sam searched the sky for Condors and saw one (and I sadly did not as I was behind taking pictures of “the forces of beauty” that inhabit this park)!

And we loved discovering this quote:

“Wind speaks through pines. Light animates granite. An eagle soars — its shadow crosses over us. All life is intertwined.” — Terry Tempest Williams

Sam hiked in his flannel PJ bottoms!
