Governor's Island National Monument
JJ and I love riding bikes. On a trip to visit her in NYC in 2012, she suggested we grab a picnic of friend chicken and ride bikes out to Governor’s Island National Monument. I couldn’t say yes fast enough. We rode from her apartment off of Washington Square Park , a 9.75-acre public park in the Greenwich Village, over to the Hudson, and down to the Battery Maritime Building where we hopped on the ferry. When we landed we rode around the outer rim on the bike path and soaked in the views of the 172 acres. And the picnic was delicious!
