Capitol Reef National Park
Our next stop was the surprise hit of the trip. We had both never heard of the park and almost didn’t go as our time was tight. When we got there, it was like we were on a new planet full of wind-blown beauty. We didn’t see another person while we hiked around and we were in awe.
Explore more at www.nps.gov … Located in south-central Utah in the heart of red rock country, Capitol Reef National Park is a hidden treasure filled with cliffs, canyons, domes, and bridges in the Waterpocket Fold, a geologic monocline (a wrinkle on the earth) extending almost 100 miles.
