Southern Oregon

It was so fun to meet new friends and see new things on our Southern Oregon Road Trip for Spring Break 2021. We discovered Loon Lake, Clear Lake, the stunning Umpqua River Bridge, heald our breath through the Elk Creek Tunnel, and did not leave Oregon as per the boy’s school requirements … but we did get close … Brookings is located on the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast six miles north of the California border on U.S. Highway 101.

We managed to explore 15 state parks during this swing. I’ve happily accepted that we did not get to every one in this region during our fun exploration down South. It was a big number of parks to experience, and a big ask of the boys. We opted for delicious lunches and chill time at the Lodge. I am compiling the list now and another trip down the Southern Oregon Coast, plus adding a hike and some horseback riding. And it will be an awesome adventure indeed. Currently the boys are skipping rocks over the amazing green waters of the Rogue River. The Tu Tu Tun is a magical place and I am already excited about coming back soon and meeting more friends along the way.
