Napa Valley, California

I love the Napa Valley in California! So when James invited me down as a thank you gift for moving him out of the big house and into the condo for his new life … of course, I said YES! Early November is the perfect time to visit the Napa Valley and go wine tasting.

His friends Eileen (Emma’s godmother) and her husband Al hosted us at their stunning new house in Napa. Aileen planed the day of fun for us and we are thankful to Al for being our designated driver. We started off the day wine tasting at MERRYVALE Vineyards.

Then we headed over to Charter Oak for lunch and had some more wine.

And we landed at Plumpjack Winery as our last stop of the day and it was perfection! And Emma loved the day with the ones she loves.

And our final meal at Restoration Hardware’s RH Yountville Restaurant. It was my first time to Yountvill and to an RH foodie establishment, but not my last.

“The RH Restaurant is part of the five-building RH Yountville compound located in the heart of Napa Valley. An integration of food, wine, art and design, the restaurant features timeless classics for brunch and dinner, as well as a selection of wines from esteemed vintners in the United States and Europe. RH Yountville also features a wine vault.”

Our sunset view every night!

And I loved my last trip to Napa in 2018 to celebrate Nona’s 77th birthday!

We stayed at the Harvest Inn in St. Helena. And ate nearby at the Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch, which I highly recommend!

We went to Mayacama Golf Club for lunch hosted by friends and then visited their winery in the hills. I fell in love with their hard working goats!

And our adventure was complete with lunch at the infamous Oakville Grocery, wine tasting at Pride Mountain Vineyards and ice cream at The Noble Folk in Healdsburg. Cheers!
