Field Trip: Chicago, Illinois

The Windy City is always a fun adventure!

We always love going down to the Navy Pier to check out the shops and grab lunch at Geordanios Deep Dish Pizza.

And we highly recommend taking a spin on the Centennial Wheel! The views of the city are awesome.

As a Marriott Bonvoy Member, I always try to stay at their hotels. One of my favorite hotel groups is the fun and vibrant W Hotels. So I was so excited to book us into the W Chicago Lakeshore. I highly recommend getting a Lake Michigan view and Ryder and I felt we were on a big boat as we looked out at the horizon with our feet up at the end of the day.

We love Dim Sum and were so excited to eat at MingHin. The interiors are beautiful and cozy and everything on the menu is delicious and highly recommended. We ordered more than we could eat, so we took the rest back to the hotel and had it for dinner … yum indeed!

After a morning of college touring, and for our last meal in Chicago, Ryder wanted a burger for lunch. We hoped on yelp and discovered The Dearborn. The burger was delicious and disappeared quickly and my salmon salad was tasty indeed!

On Mak’s college trip in 2019, we went to Skyjack Chicago at Willis Tower and the kids walked out on the ledge. I was happy to be the picture taker and not out on the glass platform.

And I always love visiting the Art Institute of Chicago to see interesting art. Here are some of my favorites from our visit in 2019.

My favorite artist is Georgia O’Keeffe!
