Bellingham, Washington
My brother Troy lives in Bellingham, Washington, and our families get along great, so it is one of our favorite places to visit. He has an amazing cabin on Lake Whatcom, so during our summer visits, we balance our time between the lake and a few select adventures.
Always on the list is a visit to Taylor Shellfish Farms to get fresh local oysters, crab and whatever else they have to offer. We love that they have added outdoor seating and service, making our annual visits all the more delicious!
And we love making a stop in haute on our way back into town. We highly recommend visiting Larrabee State Park and taking the mini hike down to the beach.
Another favorite is to visit the Bellingham Farmers Market to get fresh veggies and some fun treats.
And we always love to walk around the water’e edge of Bellingham’s Bay. “Bellingham Bay is a bay of the Salish Sea located in Washington State in the United States. It is separated from the Strait of Georgiaon the west by the Lummi Peninsula, Portage Island, and Lummi Island. It is bordered on the east by Bellingham, Washington, to the south-east by the Chuckanut Mountains, and to the south by Samish Bay. The Nooksack River empties into the bay, as does Whatcom Creek.”
