Tahiti and Mo'orea in French Polynesia
The inspiration for this trip was Bo’s 50th birthday, but due to life, responsibilities, and kid commitments we pushed it out a year to arrive in 2015. His dream was to see the big waves of Teahupoo. So we started there by staying in a rental house of new friends and we took many fun adventures around the island. We loved the tropical life, but after many moons we were in the need of AC, a pool and some good wifi. So we moved onto Le Meridian and then to Manava Resort near the capital of Pape'ete. After our AC R&R. we took the ferry over to Mo’orea for some serious chilaxin, surf and exploration. We stayed at the quaint Hotel Hibiscus that had an awesome kitchenette room by the pool that slept all five of us. For our entire adventure in nature, I loved discovering old churches, finding awesome snorkeling sites and soaking up all of the beauty. AND we also swam with the blacktip sharks!
