Mexico
Mexico is a spot I’ve been to many times for fun in the sun! In high school, I went to Tijuana in high school when you could still easily drive over the border without any documentation. In college, for Spring Break I went to Cancun one year and to Cabo San Lucas another … where I danced on the bar at Cabo Wabo. Then Bo and I discovered San Pancho and stayed there many times at Costa Azul. Then we started going down South to a newly discovered surf spot Sayulita and stayed at Villa Amor several times. We took our baby-moon there before Mak was born and I did a big hike out to the beach. We went to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo twice for Bo to chase waves in and around Troncones. On a family trip with friends, we stayed South of Puerto Vallarta at a big house on the beach … and went to another beach where Elizabeth Taylor filmed Night of the Iguana with Richard Burton.
Our last adventure was the day after the 2016 election. I cried the entire way down and was in shock over the news for the rest of the trip. But, we had a lot of fun in the sun with our boys! Making memories is what it is all about. We stayed in El Anclote at the Condominios Punta de Mita and loved the beachfront location and the condos were very spacious.
Dinner at the stunning St. Regis Punta Mita Resort.
A day in Sayulita with lunch and drinks at Don Pedro's Restaurant & Bar!
And enjoying our days in El Anclote.
