February 2024 & Embrace Sunday Funday
February was a cozy month at home … and the first month in forever that I did not travel anywhere. I did for a hot second have a trip booked to go to Vietnam and Thailand with my friend Julie, but after the prolonged ice storm, I happily canceled to accommodate Sam’s busy bowling schedule.
For a Sunday Funday, Sam and I went on a local excursion to find Portland’s smallest park, Mills End Park. And I found the “Portland Is What We Make It” billboard.
Julie and I did a winter tour of the Portland Farmers Market, which is always a fun adventure!
For his Service Project, Sam continued the family tradition helping the homeless and made PB&J sack lunches for the Blanchet House.
I won tickets to the Blazer game with Bobby Gross and had the pleasure of also meeting Larry Steele!
A highlight of the month was the Edison Bowling Team competing at the State Tournament! Sam was selected as an alternate and actually got to bowl in a playoff round. The team placed 9th and we had a great time in Salem.
Meanwhile, Mak is living his best travel life while studying abroad in London … and visiting Rome!
And a fun throwback photo of my boys having a fun adventure together!
