It is so thrilling to be back out and about creating memories with those I love in nature. February took me to Los Angeles to visit Mak for Family Week with my college roommate Annie. We rode bikes up and down the beach, we explored at the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, and we had tons of fun hanging out with Mak and his new college buddies.

And, in early February, I also did a solo mission to Lewis and Clark National Historical Park in Oregon. It is my second Unit in Oregon and I have two more to go. Funny how I’ve visited so many in other states, but not so many in my home state.

And we decided to cancel our trip to Portugal this year as COVID’s Omnicron wave has started. We pivoted and are going to do a big National Park Service swing in Florida, which makes me very happy indeed. And Sam’s basketball team qualified for the Washington State Youth Tournament, so we’ll be heading there first and then over to FLA.

And I love snuggling my godson Adam!
