South Beach Miami

Two days in South Beach was dreamy!

I has been one of my life’s dreams to eat at Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami for forever. We had attempted when the boys were younger and got stopped by Hurricane Rita. It was perfect from start to finish. We grabbed a pre-dinner drink in the lively bar, we got seated at the Capone table in the corner, and we let the boys order anything and everything on the list. It was a tidal wave of dishes with the most attentive waiter in the business. I am already excited to go back again.

We loved our hotel, the Marriott Stanton South Beach. Sam loved swimming in the pool and I loved the free margarita coupons they gave me at check-in to enjoy while I watched Sam swim in the pool. Thanks Lolos! And we had a delicious dinner of sushi at the hotel restaurant Azabu South Beach.

Our hotel had bikes, so each morning, we head out and explore. A fun find was The Villa Casa Casuarina At The Former Versace Mansion.

Our destination for this field trip was to finally tour Biscayne National Park to Boca Chita Island. Our Biscayne National Park Institute boat departed from the charming Deering Estate and was a fabulous adventure.
