Newberry National Volcanic Monument
Never had I ever even heard of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument before in my life, only to discover it is a National Monument. Our nephew found it in a list of cool things to do in Central Oregon. So we headed out and discovered this beauty that is bigger than Rhode Island and also on the top 10 list for active volcanos in the world. We each got our own flashlight and braved it down into the lava tubes. We did not see any bats, but it was fun exploring this massive wonder.
