Valley Forge National Historic Park

Hello Valley Forge National Historic Park! I have to share that I was expecting a large Valley with beautiful scenic views. as I didn't research all of the parks we’d hoped to visit on our New England Adventure. “Valley Forge is the encampment site of the Continental Army during the winter of 1777-1778. The park features 3,500 acres of monuments, meadows, and woodlands commemorating the sacrifices and perseverance of the Revolutionary War generation and honoring the power of people to pull together and overcome adversity during extraordinary times.” Apparently I missed this chapter in my high school US History class. That said, it is a place to explore and soak up history and I enjoyed every moment! Plus they have an adorable storytelling station called “Once Upon a Nation” for kids to learn more about the park. Too cute!
