New River Gorge National Park
Before it was a National Park (established in December of 2020), when it was a nature preserve I went rafting down the New River with James. We bought tents en route, camped out and met new friends. It was my first experience watching Muslims pray, which was fascinating to me and very beautiful as they faced East, towards the sacred direction of Mecca. Also, we rafted under the famous bridge that at the time it was the world’s longest single-span arch, with an arch of 1,700 feet.
And special thanks to the New River Gorge National Park NPS Park Rangers for sending me my official stamp!
