Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park

After three adventures to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, I finally did the Crater Hike! Our adventurous crew of 14 headed to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park to explore the crater and make some memories!

Bo’s sister Lisa and her family!

My brother Troy and his family!

My boys with Cousin Austin!

DEVASTATION TRAIL!

Ryder up top!

Steam was coming out of this crack in the surface!

Very cool mossy rocks with vegetation sprouting!

Then, we hiked out through the rain forest!

And here are photos from our 2015 adventure …

One of our favorite things to do on the Big Island is to visit Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. The boys love exploring the lava tubes, the hikes and then the big adventure through the crater field. Each visit we find a new adventure!
