George Washington Carver National Monument

“Sorry folks, park's closed. The moose out front shoulda told you.” This is one of my Favorite quotes from the 1983 movie National Lampoon's Vacation. My Sister and I laugh about it often. Sam and I planned to visit the George Washington Carver National Monument, however, we got caught in some traffic and got here minutes after the park closed. I am calling it a visit since I tried super hard to get here on time and wasn’t aware of the closed gate … but of course I will be back to have an official visit and get my official NPS stamp!
