The Bay Area Ride
San Francisco is on of my favorite cities. Each time I visit, there is always something new to do. And Lola loves SF, so it was an essential stop on our way back up to the PNW. We both love riding horses, so we challenged ourselves with a new experience of riding Arabian Horses with Point Reyes Arabian Adventures. I rode Indy and it was definitely a challenge for me … and took a bit of time until we were insync. We “felt the spirit of the Wild West” with them and the views were stunning of Mount Tamalpais!
And this trip was especially significant for me as it was my first official visit and stamp for the reboot of my NPS quest. It has grown from visiting all of the National Parks to visiting all of the National Park Units, just a mere boost of 362 Units, approximately. I had not fully realized we had rode Horses at Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area just a few days prior. But this adventure came with my first official NPS Stamp for my book. A milestone indeed! Thank you Point Reyes National Seashore! My post-cancer journey has officially started with lucky number park #51.
Lola recommended that we stay at one of her favorite hotels, The Lodge at the Presidio. The Presidio of San Francisco is a beautiful park located at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
Know as “Your starting point for national park adventures, located in the heart of the Presidio with Golden Gate and city skyline views.” we love the hotel, the cheese platters and the fire pit view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
