Dollywood

Dollywood was the inspiration for our trip and it was an adventure indeed! Kelly came up with the idea to go before my cancer and then COVID, so we were so excited to finally make the trip become a reality. We stayed at Dolly’s DreamMore Resort & Spa, spent a day at the park, and even toured around Pigeon Forge. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes at the Local Goat!

And we highly recommend NOT attending Dolly Parton’s Stampede due to its harmful portrayal of our indigenous peoples. We have sent feedback to Dolly’s organization and please do the same. She removed Dixie from the name in 2018 and hopefully her team will rework the show to accurately celebrate our native peoples and their contributions to our country.
