May 2022

I have visited 91 NPS Units, including 31 National Parks.

I’ve just returned from California with Sam and Mak to pick Mak up from his Freshman year at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles (crazy .. where does the time go?). On the way down, Sam and I revisited Redwood National Park and walked amongst the giants and then hiked with the spotted Side-Bloched Lizards at Pinnacles National Park. On the way back North, we  gave pause and acknowledgements at Manzanar National Historical Site and paid our respects at Cesar Chavez National Monument. We hiked at Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National Park and were in awe of the biggest trees on earth. Further North, we rode bikes at Yosemite National Park and were thankful to Mother Nature for all of her gifts (and hard-pressed to admit the reality that Yosemite is our favorite park thus far). I am off to Wyoming next to attempt to visit Devil’s Tower with Mak as a nod to his senior year theatre project.

A few memories from our trip! Magical clouds by Manazanazr, our daily packing of the car, and some art from our hotel in Redding, CA.

And a few more memories from May!

And my favorite throw-back photo from the UFO Festival in McMinnville when Auntie Lola had her record store on 3rd Street.

And an awesome text from a friend! The healing is till happening and I hope to help and inspire others to get back to living a healthy life.
