June 2024 & Embrace Friendships

June was a fun month of family and friends … and of course some fun travel! After Ryder finished his Freshman Year at The Evergreen State College and Sam finished his Sophomore Year in high school, we took a trip of a lifetime to Morocco with our dear friends.

This trip was super special as Sam and I met JoAnne and Radhika when we were traveling in Japan in 2019. We became fast friends and kept in touch. With JoAnne, we had the rare luck that our two oldest sons Mak and Billy both selected the same college. So we’ve been able to connect in Los Angeles over the years. And we also vacationed together with her family in the Dominican Republic when she invited us for New Years in 2021. With Radhika, we keep in contact via text only. When JoAnne and I committed to going to Morocco, I sent her a text to invite them to join us and she responded with a YES!

We were able to reunite in Morocco and had an amazing adventure together! Our friendship deepened and we already have a trip to Columbia planned for 2025. By embracing the friendship of two amazing adventurous woman, our families making some incredible memories together.

And on JoAnne’s suggestion, we opted to extend our layover in Paris to soak up The City of Lights. And it was so cool to see the city getting ready for the Summer Olympics … and to see the Olympic Rings on the Eiffel Tower!
