Colorado
It is a trip down memory lane chronicling my adventures. I found this postcard in my photo box from Vail, one of my favorite destinations in Colorado. I first visited there in high school and fell in love with the majestic mountains and quaint town. Papa was now a skier and his good friend Billy lent us his condo for a week of fun on the slopes.
Vail became our spot and inspired me to attend college in Colorado for awhile. I enjoyed the combination of turtlenecks and big sweaters with a side of tequila shots. My favorite spot to hydrate after a day on the mountain is The Red Lion Restaurant & Live Music Venue in the heart of Vail Village. It is still there today and I hope to stop on in for a beverage and some live music when I go tour the Colorado National Park Sites.
I’ve been back to Colorado many times and always love exploring the mountain towns. In 2017. after the election, I got inspired by Barack Obama … and grabbed my clipboard … and applied to Al Gore’s Climate Reality Leadership Project. I was so excited to be selected and the training was in Denver. I trained with the legendary Bill Bradbury and I am forever grateful for the opportunity. That experience has inspired me to share ways we can all be better partners to our planet.

Note: I am pretty sure I’ve been to Rocky Mountain National Park, but have no photographic evidence.
