January 2023

January was a whirlwind of new experiences. New Year’s Day we spent in the Dominican Republic. Next we were off to beautiful and super friendly Puerto Rico which we adored! Then it was off to Tampa, Florida for our Neice’s beautiful wedding. I headed home for 3 1/2 days and then it was off to Argentina to start my adventure to Antarctica, with a brief touchdown at the end to Chile. I landed back home on 1/31 and only spent 4 1/2 days at home in January. My boys missed me and I missed them too … but I had so much fun. Ryder is a Senior and Sam is a Freshman in high school, so there are only a few more years until I can be out and about on the road exploring more.

After years of trying to convince Bo to travel to places other than Hawaii, Mexico, or Costa Rica, he finally got the message that I want to see more of the world. On our latest swing, he was able to surf in the Dominican Republic at Macao Beach with Ryder and Mak. And he surfed in San Juan, Puerto Rico to which he loved. Travel teaches you many thaings and for me my focus is to be in the moment and soak up the experience.

And that is why I love the photo above so much. There is a lot of life and prep that goes into getting the great travel photos that we all love to post. Sunscreen is essential and sometimes travel isn’t always picture perfect .. but adventures with my boys always warms my heart.
